The Issue

We, the undersigned students, parents, and concerned citizens, urgently request that Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) cancel or postpone the upcoming O-Level, IGCSE, and A-Level examinations in UAE, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan due to serious safety and wellbeing concerns.

The ongoing conflict and regional tensions have caused unprecedented risks for students traveling to examination centres, and the pressure of sitting exams in such conditions is causing severe mental stress. Many students are also experiencing insufficient preparation due to disruptions, further jeopardizing fair assessment.

We demand that CAIE and associated exam authorities cancel or postpone all upcoming exams until it is safe for students to attend, and provide students with alternative options, including a free retest for October–November sessions, a refund of fees if exams cannot be attended, and predicted grades based on coursework and prior performance. We call upon relevant education ministries and governments to urgently intervene and prioritize student safety, mental wellbeing, and fair academic opportunity over rigid exam schedules.

No exam is worth endangering lives or worsening stress levels for students.

Sign this petition to demand immediate action to protect students, reduce mental stress, and ensure fair alternatives for all candidates affected by these unsafe conditions.
