We ask the city of Pembroke Pines to cancel the concert of 
Los Van Van de Cuba, which will take place at the Charles Dodge City Center in
Pembroke Pines. Los Van Van is a music band that has historically
supported and collaborated with the Cuban dictatorship; its unconditional support
for the Communist Party of Cuba has caused its presence to be unwelcome in
South Florida because the vast majority of the Cuban American community
residing here has been a victim of the totalitarian and terrorist regime of Havana,
which is the same regime that this band represents and to which they will give a
portion of the profits from this concert.
We request for the city of Pembroke Pines to stand by freedom and by its community.

Pedimos a la ciudad de Pembroke Pines que cancele el concierto de
Los Van Van de Cuba, que tendrá lugar en el Charles Dodge City Center de
Pinos Pembroke. Los Van Van es una banda de música que históricamente ha
apoyó y colaboró con la dictadura cubana; su apoyo incondicional
del Partido Comunista de Cuba ha hecho que su presencia no sea bien recibida en
el sur de la Florida porque la gran mayoría de la comunidad cubanoamericana
aquí residiendo ha sido víctima del régimen totalitario y terrorista de La Habana,
que es el mismo régimen que representa esta banda y al cual le van a dar un
parte de las ganancias de este concierto.
