My professional experience with Hornblower, the American company currently running the Canadian boat ride to the Falls in the Niagara Gorge, has been disturbing. I have faced favouritism, dishonesty and unfair treatment. Unfortunately, I am not the only Canadian who has suffered due to these, and other, unethical management practices. 

However, this isn't about my experience; it's about justice for Canadian businesses. Despite being an attraction in Canada, the contract to operate the boat ride into Niagara Falls' Mist has been given to an American company, Hornblower. This decision not only deprives local Canadian companies of the opportunity to influence and participate in tourism in their own country, but also contributes to a significant economic leakage.

Niagara Parks and the Government of Ontario must reconsider this company's presence in Niagara Falls ON, and cancel the remainder of Hornblower's contract. This is not merely for the sake of Canadian businesses, but to uphold the values of honesty, transparency and fairness which Hornblower has failed to meet, since taking over for Maid of the Mist a decade ago.

Sign this petition to demand the cancellation of Hornblower's contract and give the opportunity back to Canadian companies to run this beloved attraction in their own homeland.
