Thank you for all the support and sharing of this petition to cancel Grassy Mountain coal.
This project is currently under review from Provincial and Federal regulators and now more then ever we need Canadians and Albertan's to voice our opposition to this project and the future proposed open pit mines.
Before it becomes to late we all need to collectively challenge this policy and these decisions to create open pit mines in some of the most environmentally diverse and sensitive areas we have in Alberta and Canada.
It's not without challenge and it does take a bit of work to make our voices heard but please reach out to your local Provincial MLA's or MPP's as well as contacting your Federal MP to express your concerns and express the importance of meeting our Provincial, National and World climate targets set out by agreements we have signed and actively promote.
A first step we can all take together is by emailing, writing or phoning our Federal Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Jonathan Wilkinson and expressing our concerns for the damage this will cause as well as our commitment to meeting climate targets.
