Cancel 'Fifty Shades of Grey' at all Celebration Cinema locations

Cancel 'Fifty Shades of Grey' at all Celebration Cinema locations
The Issue
On February 14, 2015 a disturbing film is scheduled to be unleashed in the public square of our communities -- namely, the film 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
This is not your typical Valentine's Day romance flick. This film is based on a best-selling novel that has the internet buzzing because of its erotic content, earning it the reputation as 'mommy porn'. Fifty Shades of Grey presents pornographic material, romanticizes sexual abuse, and centers on the themes of BDSM (Bondage, Discipline/Dominance, Submission/Sadism and Masochism).
We are citizens of West Michigan, we enjoy movies, and we appreciate the entertainment services that Celebration Cinema provides. However, we also DO NOT want this film shown in our communities. This material is completely inappropriate for public theaters that serve a wide audience of viewers.
While we support Celebration Cinema's legal right to show the film, we also ask them to exercise restraint for the sake of those whom it victimizes or makes vulnerable. This is not about censorship, it's about serving customers and the wider community honorably and responsibly.
There are times when we all need to rally together and make our voices heard. Please sign this petition and tell Celebration Cinema that we sincerely and respectfully ask them to cancel all showings of this film at all of their locations.
