All Metis people must oppose the OFFICIAL MARK applied for by Metis National Council Secretariat Inc. for the Metis Flag / Infinity Symbol. File No. # 0923676. It was originally filed October 2, 2015 and was given public notice on November 11, 2015. It was also recently modified October 25, 2018.

We call on all Metis Citizens as well as inherent heirs of the Warriors of Seven Oaks to formally oppose this Official Mark for the Metis Flag / Infinity Symbol. 

The Metis National Council Secretariat Inc. (MNC) IS NOT the PUBLIC AUTHORITY for ALL METIS CITIZENS. 

 All Metis Citizens as well as inherent heirs of the Warriors who fought bravely at Seven Oaks, 1816 did NOT give permission to the Metis National Council to use the Seven Oaks battle flag as their exclusive Metis Flag. This flag belongs to ALL Metis Citizens. 

I, Alexandria Anthony as Sept Stewart of Siol Cudbright, representing Cuthbert Grant Jr. descendants will oppose this Official Mark. My great great Uncle Cuthbert Grant Jr. flew this flag at Seven Oaks, as an inherent heir, I have not along with many others given the MNC permission to use this flag as their exclusive flag.

I am asking ALL Metis Citizens to sign this petition to oppose this Official Mark for METIS FLAG / INFINITY SYMBOL by Metis National Council Secretariat Inc. ( MNC).

We cannot ALLOW the Metis National Council Secretariat Inc.(MNC) to have sole ownership of our Metis / Infinity Flag, this flag belongs to ALL METIS CITIZENS. We cannot ALLOW the MNC to dictate who can use OUR Metis Flag. 

Official Marks may be invalidated on the basis that the holder is NOT actually a CANADIAN PUBLIC AUTHORITY. The Metis National Council Secretariat Inc.(MNC) is NOT A PUBLIC AUTHORITY FOR ALL METIS CITIZENS.

The MNC is attempting to control history and use it as a political tool to BRAND their exclusive "Metis Nation". 

The infinity symbol ∞ (sometimes called the lemniscate) is a mathematical symbol representing the concept of infinity. John Wallis is credited with introducing the infinity symbol with its mathematical meaning in 1655, in his De sectionibus conicis.

Le Secrétariat du Conseil national des Métis inc. (MNC) N'EST PAS L'AUTORITÉ PUBLIQUE DE TOUS LES CITOYENS DE METIS.

 Tous les citoyens métis ainsi que les héritiers inhérents des guerriers qui ont combattu bravement à Seven Oaks, 1816, n'autorisèrent PAS le Conseil national métis à utiliser le drapeau de bataille de Seven Oaks comme drapeau exclusif des Métis. Ce drapeau appartient à TOUS les citoyens métis.

Moi, Alexandria Anthony en tant que Sept Stewart de Siol Cudbright, représentant les descendants de Cuthbert Grant Jr., nous opposerons à cette marque officielle. Mon grand oncle Cuthbert Grant Jr. a arboré ce drapeau à Seven Oaks, en tant qu’héritier inhérent. Je n’ai pas, avec beaucoup d’autres, donné la permission à la MNC d’utiliser ce drapeau comme drapeau exclusif.

Je demande à TOUS les citoyens métis de signer cette pétition pour s'opposer à la marque officielle de METIS FLAG / INFINITY SYMBOL du Secrétariat du Conseil national des Métis inc. (MNC).

Nous ne pouvons pas permettre au Secrétariat du Conseil national des métis (MNC) d’être le propriétaire exclusif de notre drapeau Métis / Infinity, ce drapeau appartient à TOUS LES CITOYENS DE METIS. Nous ne pouvons pas permettre au multinational de décider qui peut utiliser NOTRE drapeau métis.

Les marques officielles peuvent être invalidées au motif que le titulaire N'EST PAS réellement une autorité publique canadienne. Le Secrétariat du Conseil national des Métis inc. (MNC) n'est pas une autorité publique pour tous les citoyens du métis.

Le RNM tente de contrôler l’histoire et de l’utiliser comme un outil politique pour BRANDER sa «nation métisse» exclusive.

Le symbole de l'infini ∞ (parfois appelé le lemniscate) est un symbole mathématique représentant le concept de l'infini. On attribue à John Wallis l’introduction du symbole de l’infini au sens mathématique en 1655, dans son De sectionibus conicis.
