Recently the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), also known as the International Bill of Rights for Women, responded to complaints from women's organizations (FAFIA and NWAC) regarding Canada's violations. One of the issues raised was Indian Affairs and Northern Canada's Unstated Paternity policy/practice that denies children Indian status registration when their father is not disclosed due to issues of sexual violence. JOURNEY Magazine, a Peterborough venue, has published an eight step analysis that I wrote of this process. I hope you like the images. Let me know by leaving a comment.
