To the Canadian Government,

 
We the undersigned demand that Canada bans all consumption of dog and cat meat, we do not understand why you would allow this to happen in our country. When we found out that it was legal in Canada to consume our domestic animals it brought pain and suffering to millions of Canadians and we want this law changed immediately.

Canada needs to join in with many other countries worldwide and send a strong message to END dog and cat meat consumption. Is there not enough suffering of our animals now? That we have to add our domestic animals to the suffering as well? Does man not have enough to eat now by slaughtering billions of farm animals annually? There is no need for this type of product, and since there is no high demand for this product why would you not want to change the laws?

Canadians are not happy, they are in complete disgust when this it told to them, so if there is no demand the killing will stop! Animals are stolen pets, animals gathered and transported cruelly and then slaughtered inhumanely is this what our country stands for? You say they must have an inspector in order to slaughter these dogs and cats, do you have those inspectors in kitchens across Canada? I think not. This is barbaric our domestic animals do not deserve to die this way, why would Canada allow such a laws to exist? Canada has no restrictions on fur imports, except for endangered species either, can we at least have a law against consuming these innocent animals.

We request that Canada put in place a law that bans consuming cat and dog meat, and stop the inhumanity. We are supposed to be a civilized country why not start acting like one. You have brought shame to millions of Canadians and we demand you change these laws and end dog and cat meat consumption for good.
