I am a Canadian and I suffer from mental illnesses and a type of therapy in the states is Emotional Support Animals. ESA's are not recognized in Canada.  It is a home based therapy to help people with mental illness to cope with most of life's everyday stresses. For example I suffer from depression, anxiety, and a learning disability. It is an internal fight/struggle on a daily basis.
I was refused my right (Human Rights Act) to have an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) because my landlord had a no pets policy in the lease. This is NOT a pet, this is a type of therapy that needs to be recognized.

Mental illnesses are not something that people suffer with from 9am-5pm. Everyone suffering should have the option if they wish to have this type of therapy.

Even with two therapists letters and a doctors prescription I was still denied an ESA.
Help me fight this wrong.
