Canadian government - help with the COVID pet crisis

Canadian government - help with the COVID pet crisis

The Issue

Right now there are thousands of animals all over North America that are being euthanized on a weekly basis. This is mainly a result of the increase of pets acquired during the COVID pandemic which are now homeless. Breeders and puppy mills have not slowed down which have lead to a bottleneck of homeless animals. Animal rescues/humane societies are full and shelters have to euthanize on a daily basis to keep space for stray animals. Especially dogs. The Canadian government needs to implement a breeding ban or limitation on breeders and harsher punishments for backyard breeders / puppy mills to help end this crisis. Puppies and other domestic animals are being bred with where there are thousands of homeless animals in need of homes. Please sign to show your support!
