We feel stronger laws for animal abuse are needed in this country. People that harm, starve and provide unsafe living conditions for animals should have stronger fines, jail time and not be permitted to house or own animals again.
The laws will be a deterrent for people and the fines can be used for animal control societies to have more people in place to help these animals.
Our Canadian government needs to take this more seriously and people need to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
