Isreal's apartheid state prevents Palestinian individuals from finding companionship. Not only are their preventative laws harmful, but Israeli Authorities actually separate Palestinian families, spouses, and children. A husband in the West Bank is unable to see his wife in Gaza for years. Palestinians residing in different cities need permission from Israeli Authorities to marry. Unfortunately, most permits are not granted. 

The Citizenship and Entry into Isreal Law geographically targets Palestinian citizens. The law denies through-marriage residential status to inhabitants of Gaza or the West Bank; meaning that Palestinians who marry Israeli citizens will not gain legal status in Isreal. This oppressive law prohibits Palestinians from becoming legally recognized citizens and further perpetuates Israeli-supremacy in Isreal.

Though the United States and Isreal are closely allied, it is Canada's responsibility as world peace-keepers to call upon the Israeli Authorities to repeal the Citizenship and Entry Law. The law is oppressive and discriminatory.
