Stop federal tax increases. It does not solve our problems, it causes them.

The Issue

Almost every Canadian you ask will agree that the cost of living continues to climb and every year we live becomes more expensive than the last. Prices for items such as groceries, gas, hydro, heat, and insurance rise and our bank accounts get sucked dry. Unfortunately, the only “solutions” we ever see from our government are tax hikes and further restrictions on tax breaks and benefits.

Somehow, the people who get paid with my money, your money, and our neighbours’ money, think they need to earn more, spend more, and take more from people who actually work for it. I ask you this; in what way do you think people living off your dollars are capable of spending it better than yourself?

I think the solution lies in believing that individuals are capable of taking care of themselves, the people they love, and their community more effectively than the government is. That means reducing the amount of revenue the government takes from us and reducing careless spending. The $2000 CERB benefit will have terrible impacts on our future, and we know damn well we are going to have to pay that back in the form of higher taxes. They shut down our economy, they paid us with money they didn’t have, and now we have to eat their mistake. Tell your MPs, the parties, and especially Trudeau that they have no right taking money from people they don’t even know. No new taxes, no federal or provincial tax increases, no HST, GST, or PST increases for the next 10 years. We are all sick and tired of hearing that we don’t give enough to people who can’t spend our money fast enough.

High taxes are not the solution, they are part of the problem.

Here are the changes to 2021 tax brackets, tax breaks and incentives, and benefits: https://www.greedyrates.ca/blog/tax-changes-canadians-need-to-know-about/

Keep in mind that even after this tax is deducted from your income, you still pay 13% sales tax on every dollar you spend, of which 5 percent goes to the federal government and 8 percent going to the Ontario provincial government, there's also used and new vehicle taxes, municipal property and location taxes, capital gain taxes and more!
