The Federal Government under PM Trudeau announced financial assistance to small business over the COVID-19 pandemic, however, it missed a good portion of those small businesses as the assistance was only to Canadian-Controlled Private Corporations (CCPC) and not sole-proprietorships or partnerships. 54% of small business have 4 or less employees, and many of those are proprietorships.

We are calling on the Federal Government of Canada to include employers who are sole proprietorships or partnerships in the COVID-19 pandemic financial assistance.
