Some cosmetic companies conduct tests on animals to measure the safety of their ingredients when it is entirely unnecessary, and inaccurate. Results from animal tests are variable, different species are going to respond differently which leads to consumer safety not being guaranteed. With the advanced technology now, there are alternatives to this to make sure cosmetics get the tests they need to ensure safety, while keeping animals safe. These animals used are subjected to cruel, painful tests that consist of skin and eye irritation tests where chemicals are rubbed into shaved skin, or open eyes with no pain relief, force feeding for up to months, and forced to swallow a high dosage of chemicals to dictate how much will cause death. No pain relief is given for any tests. At the end of these brutal experiments they are often killed. Be the voice these animals need.
