In a surprising development, after a prolonged slow down, the Hypatia Day petition breathed in a new life, gaining more than 300 votes within the last 10 days and crossing the 1,500-vote landmark. 

Your votes cry in the ears of the relevant authorities who are silent after several brisk signs of interest a year ago. 

Generalized as Women in Science Day, the Hypatia Day (March 20) can become a formidable educational resource in making female contributions to Sciences visible and appreciated.
