On Feb 5, a message was received from the Prime Minister's Office to acknowledge receipt of correspondence, and to state that the issue of ratification has been regarded as falling within the portfolio of the Honourable Stéphane Dion, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Hence the material was forwarded to Minister Dion, and we were assured that he would "wish to give our views every consideration." Meanwhile, at a meeting with Minister Philpott on February 11, we were reassured of her intention to remind Minister Qualtrough of this important matter. When new correspondence is received there will be another update. This petition has reached over 18,300 signatures, so please do what you can to spread the word as much as possible!
