Recently the Canadian Government closed to the door on private and community sponsorships, effectively leaving the most vulnerable Ismailis without hope. The Turkish government has proceeded with deportations, turning this into a humanitarian crisis. These families cannot return home because of religious persecution. 

They have spent their life savings to find safe passage to Turkey only to find migration pathways to other countries closed. Hospitals turn them away because they don't want to serve immigrants. Employers take advantage of their precarious status and don't honour their wages. Children are being raised without basic literacy. 

Please call on the Canadian Government to step up and help the vulnerable Ismaili community in Turkey.
