On September 24th the unimaginable happened, we lost our sweet sweet Tobi. September 23 around 9pm Victoria and CJ dropped Tobi and Gigi off at a pet sitters hired through Rover.com because they were going out of town to attend a close friends wedding. Tobi escaped from the sitters around midnight, the sitter didn't confirm Tobi had ran away until early the next morning. When Tobi got out Victoria and CJ were still in town and could have gotten their boy hack had the pet sitter just called when it happened. Victoria immediately reached out to friends in the area and posted on social media to bring her baby boy home. Many people were looking throughout the day for Tobi, we are unsure if the petsitter was looking for him. At this point Tobi was alone, hungry and probably terrified for over 16 hours. Around 4:30pm on September 24th there was an accident where a dog was struck by a car. Victoria and CJ were on a plane and were unaware of the possibility that this dog could be their sweet boy. After this incident occurred 5 of Victorias close friends went searching for Tobi, not willing to give up until they find him. Victoria and CJ landed in Indiana and received a message from a man who had seen this accident happen and called the number on the collar. Her friends got in contact with him so they can find this dog and see if it was Tobi or not. Sadly the dog that was struck by a car was sweet Tobi, this nice man immediately pulled over after he saw Tobi get hit, and comforted him as he took his last breath. We assume his injuries were to severe for him to make it to Veterinary help. The person who hit Tobi did not stop, they drove off like nothing happened. 

We want to get justice for this sweet baby boy. The careless acts of the dog sitter made this baby lose his life way too soon. We have contacted authorities on Camp Pendleton (PMO & Animal Control) however, they are refusing to help us get the justice that Tobi deserves. We want to make his story public because so many things could have been done differently and Tobi would still be here with us today.
