I would like to make it mandatory for all sen school buses to be fitted with cameras, something that is personal to myself and my family. Our 13yr old son who attends a special needs school was traveling home and an incident happened which resulted in the police being called, our son was face down on the bus floor visibly upset.His recall of events did not match with the driver's and the guides version(they had 2 days to get there story straight) our son was bleeding from his ear and lip and was bruised on and around his face,head, arms, legs, back and had red marks around his neck!  had there been cameras on the bus then things would have been much clearer from the begining. But because there wasn't any cameras the only evidence the police had was the driver and guide and only one other child that didn't have anything "upsetting to report back" the other children on the bus were all non verbal so unable to speak out.Had there been a camera on the bus things would have been a whole lot clearer and a lot less stressful for all concerned.

Our son CAN speak but has NOT been heard, so we need to be the voice to speak up and make a stand not only for our son but for every other child  verbal or non verbal. Please share this and let's get cameras inside buses to ensure our vounreble children are protected on their  trip to and from school.
