Safe crossing point on Station road and Northern Access road Cambridge

The issue of safety on Station road relating to the requirement of a pedestrian crossing still has not been fully addressed. With the cycling and pedestrian route towards West Cambridge and its many many schools, colleges and places of work via Warren close, many people are crossing Station road using the traffic calming "table" by the Microsoft building.
It has become more and more dangerous to cross this road and it is a matter of time before someone is hurt.
I myself have done a tally count and on average in 15 minutes 52 people cross at this point at peak times in the morning.
The Northern access road also has no crossing! This road will be very busy once it fully opens and it is prudent to address these matters now.
The Highways officers for The County Council have deemed there is no requirement for such a crossing.
