Multinational pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has submitted a planning application for a new global HQ and animal testing lab to be based at Cambridge Bio-Medical Campus. Cambridge has too many animal labs already while the Govt. has a commitment to reducing the numbers of animals used in experiments. Also this HQ represents a further commercialisation of research, putting profit before people. The new corporate animal lab and HQ is neither needed or wanted!
