UPDATE: VSB BOOKING CANCELLED AS OF APRIL 24TH. Thank you to everyone who contacted VSB!

MLA Brodie has announced an "Emergency" Townhall event in the riding at the Prince of Wales secondary school on May 2nd. She will be joined by unspecified "guests," who if history is any indicator, will be grifters punching down on Indigenous people and trans kids for their own political and financial gain.

These events use shock value to bring out-of-towners to our neighbourhood to foment racism. They add no value to dialogue within our riding about issues that matter to constituents.

Contact the Vancouver School Board today with a quick email to let them know that we do not support holding an event like this in a public school. Our schools must be safe spaces for ALL kids to learn and grow. This event goes against multiple VSB policies:

If you'd like more info on the issues she's incorrectly claiming are an "emergency" that affects "private property rights," check out https://www.canada.ca/en/crown-indigenous-relations-northern-affairs/news/2026/02/musqueam-and-canada-sign-historic-agreements-recognizing-rights-stewardship-and-fisheries.html

This agreement relates to fisheries, stewardship, and marine emergency management and does not affect private property rights in any way.

Please contact VSB today and share this info on your socials and with your neighbours so they hear from a lot of us about why events like this shouldn't happen on public school property!
