The Indigenous Accountability Coalition, a grassroots organization led by residential school survivor Steve Sxwithul’txw, Penelakut Tribe, is launching a coordinated public-awareness campaign across the riding of Vancouver–Quilchena, distributing posters that call attention to the growing demand for accountability from MLA Dallas Brodie.

Supporters are welcome to attend the next postering event in the riding, on Saturday, December 6th, at noon. Meet at 41st and Dunbar.

“Constituents deserve leadership that reflects respect, truth, and responsibility,” said the Indigenous Accountability Coalition. “These posters are a reminder that every community member has a democratic right to hold their MLA accountable. If Brodie refuses to step aside, her own voters will have the chance to remove her through recall.”

For supporters in Victoria, there is an event tomorrow during an unsanctioned "debate" with Frances Widdowson and Dallas Brodie.

"These self-styled 'truthtellers' and 'defenders of free speech,' ignore official church and government records of residential school deaths, dismiss the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and disrespect the testimony of Survivors in order to promote their hateful and false rhetoric."

When: 12:30, Tuesday Dec 2nd
Where: in front of MacPherson Library at UVic (underneath the residential school Survivor's Flag)
What: Peaceful counter protest to affirm the experiences of residential school Survivors.

Supporters are encouraged to bring signs expressing their views!

...

Let's show we respect and believe survivors. Period.
