

Residential school survivor Steve Sxwithul’txw attended Kuper Island Residential School in the ’70s. He believes he has eight relatives listed among the 3,000 children who the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation found had died in residential schools. Sxwithul’txw: “The things that happened at these schools happened, and people didn’t come home."
He recently wrote a letter to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly requesting a review of MLA Brodie's conduct. Two days ago, in response to Sxwithul’txw's letter and Brodie's recent rhetoric, a reporter from CHEK News asked MLA Brodie whether she believes she's done anything wrong.
