Petition: Call on the Governor of Victoria to Dissolve the Victorian Parliament
To: The Honourable Governor of Victoria
We, the undersigned citizens of Victoria and Australia, call upon the Governor of Victoria to exercise their constitutional authority to dissolve the Victorian Parliament and bring about fresh elections.
Why We Call for Action
The current Victorian Labor Government has repeatedly failed its people. The mishandling, neglect, and misplaced priorities of this government have eroded public trust, compromised safety, and placed undue burdens on taxpayers. We cite the following:
COVID-19 Mismanagement & Lockdown Deaths
Prolonged and harsh lockdowns caused widespread mental health crises, business closures, job losses, and unnecessary deaths among the most vulnerable.
The government’s failure to plan and adapt responsibly left Victoria with some of the harshest restrictions in the world and one of the deepest scars on community wellbeing.
Rising Violent Crime & Public Safety Failures
From youth gang violence to shocking machete attacks on our streets, Victorians no longer feel safe.
Instead of addressing community protection, the government has been reactive, complacent, and dismissive of victims.
Botched Infrastructure & Local Building Projects
Major projects have been mismanaged and blown out in cost, while smaller community and local building projects are riddled with delays, cut corners, and wasted taxpayer dollars.
Billions have been squandered with little accountability.
Runaway State Debt
Victoria now carries billions of dollars in debt, making it the most indebted state in Australia.
This reckless borrowing and spending burden future generations, weakens our economy, and leaves taxpayers to pay the price for decades to come.
Divisive Political Alignment
The government has chosen to stand with pro-Palestinian activists and international political causes rather than prioritising the safety, unity, and wellbeing of existing Victorian taxpayers.
This fuels community division rather than strengthening social cohesion.
Our Demand
The Victorian Labor Government has:
Lost the confidence of the people,
Failed to uphold the basic duty of governance—protecting and serving Victorians first,
Saddled the state with unprecedented and unsustainable debt,
And repeatedly placed ideology, political theatre, and reckless spending above responsibility.
Therefore, we respectfully petition the Governor of Victoria to dissolve the Parliament and call an election so that Victorians may choose a government worthy of their trust.
Together, We Can Restore Accountability
This is not a partisan call—it is a cry for accountability, integrity, and leadership that serves all Victorians. Our democracy demands checks and balances, and when government fails, the people must have the right to decide its future.
Sign this petition today to call for the dissolution of the Victorian Parliament and the restoration of government that works for the people, not against them.
