As a concerned and devoted son/daughter of Canada, I sign this petition with the utmost respect for the democratic institutions that govern our country. It is with a heavy heart and a deep sense of responsibility that I call upon the leadership of this nation to recognize the dire circumstances we face and take decisive action.

Over the past several years, Canada has experienced mounting economic and social challenges that have placed undue strain on our citizens. Recent developments, both domestically and internationally, have exacerbated these issues, leaving millions of Canadians fearful for their future. We are witnessing the erosion of our national stability and economic security, and the time to act is now.

The re-election of Donald Trump as President of the United States brings with it significant implications for our nation. His administration has announced a 25% tariff on all non-American products, with a specific and pointed threat toward Canadian imports. This action jeopardizes over 2 million Canadian jobs and poses a severe risk to our economic prosperity. The hostile rhetoric from our closest trading partner underscores the urgent need for strong, strategic leadership that can safeguard Canadian interests on the international stage.

Unfortunately, under the leadership of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, our nation has become increasingly vulnerable. His government's failure to address critical issues, such as immigration policy and housing shortages, has contributed to a crisis that touches every corner of our country. The influx of temporary and permanent immigrants from a single nation, without adequate expansion of housing and infrastructure, has placed immense pressure on our communities, driving up housing costs and exacerbating social divides.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Trudeau’s leadership has faced unprecedented internal dissent. The recent resignation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Chrystia Freeland highlights the growing instability within the Liberal Party. Several ministers have publicly called for the Prime Minister’s resignation, yet he remains unwilling to step aside. This unwillingness to acknowledge the concerns within his own cabinet reflects a lack of accountability and transparency that is unacceptable at this critical juncture in our nation’s history.

According to recent polling by IPSOS, Prime Minister Trudeau’s approval rating has plummeted to 33%, with 67% of Canadians expressing dissatisfaction. This overwhelming public discontent is a clear signal that the citizens of Canada no longer have confidence in his leadership. Our country cannot afford to continue down this path of division, economic uncertainty, and international vulnerability.

I hereby call upon the New Democratic Party to put aside partisan considerations and prioritize the well-being of Canadians by voting non-confidence by January 1, 2025. Even if this results in the loss of seats in the House of Commons, such action will demonstrate a commitment to the greater good of our nation. Failure to act will render the NDP complicit in the decline of Canada’s economic and social stability.

Additionally, I urge members of the Liberal Party to break party solidarity and demand the resignation of Prime Minister Trudeau by January 1, 2025. Loyalty to a leader must not come at the expense of the Canadian people. The continuation of the current trajectory will only deepen the challenges we face, and it is imperative that the Liberal Party recognizes its duty to the citizens it represents.
