Calling for the resignation of Bishop Shane Mackinlay

The issue

Catholics in Australia were outraged, when in Lent 2025, Bishop Shane Mackinlay of the Diocese of Sandhurst in Victoria, installed a pagan "artwork" in the Sacred Heart Cathedral of Bendigo.

This "art" installation was part of the Five of Wands Transcendence "pilgrimage" which included four other artworks around Bendigo, the Cathedral one being the central hub.

Troubled Catholics, concerned about the pagan deity and its occult overtones, contacted the Bishop's office to be met only with an automated response informing them that it was only an artwork and that there was no need for concern as he had asked the artist to remove the occult references from the Transcendence website.  In effect, the Bishop dealt with the accusations by blatantly concealing all references to the occult, by asking the artist to edit his website, thewands.au

In actual fact, the full description of its connections to the occult can be found here: https://ecclesiasticalfreemasonry.com/2025/04/21/blatant-occultism-in-bendigo-cathedral/

Having such a display in a catholic cathedral is an utter blasphemy and a grave offence against the First Commandment, not to mention the spiritual danger to the faithful in the Diocese of Bendigo.

The Bishop of Sandhurst has not acknowledged the growing concern of the faithful. We are now calling for the resignation of Bishop Shane Mackinlay.  He has actively promoted and sponsored The Wands sculpture exhibition, failing to protect his flock from demonic attack, the likes of which have never been seen in Australia before.
