Every year at Kimberly High School in Wisconsin, new reports of sexual assault and bullying from students are reported to the Kimberly High School staff and nothing is done to discipline the perpetrators. Every person I’ve talked to that’s attended Kimberly has some sort of awful experience with talking to him or reporting incidents to him. He has an issue with failure to follow through with working with victims and has even denied to help one of my friends called a racial slur and he excused it because she wasn’t black. A rape case was reported to him and he allowed the alleged rapist to be able to graduate. Matt Bumgardner keeping his position as assistant principal at Kimberly High School is dangerous for our students who feel they don’t have any help from a staff that’s supposed purpose is to guide them through these issues. I’m calling for current students, parents, the general public, and fellow alumni to sign my petition to show the Kimberly Area School District that we demand a safer school for our students where they can feel safe enough to come forward so they have a chance to learn and come to school without fear they’ll get in trouble for reporting.
