This is a BIG VICTORY and the first step towards SAVING VENICE from unscrupulous developers and profiteers who are tearing down our community! The next step is VITAL to saving our community -- we are almost ready to file the lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles for allowing ILLEGAL VSOs and VIOLATING State, City and Local Coastal Planning and Zoning laws with regard to development projects in Venice! Our attorney, Sabrina Venskus of Venskus & Associates, has been working around the clock for the past year, with the help of Venice neighbors and activists, to sort through all the ILLEGAL violations of the planning and zoning codes, allowed by L.A. City Planning, that are destroying the character and charm of Venice neighborhoods, and ELIMINATING existing AFFORDABLE HOUSING. ...now she's almost ready to file...BUT we need to give her a bit mo' money :) Thankfully, we're able to announce this opportunity to help with the cost of the pending lawsuit - as an anonymous donor has offered to match donations up to $2500!
