In our petition updates we have shared the personal stories of Julie Nemecek, Andrew Deeb, Caitlin Stout and more … stories that remind us that SAU DOES discriminate! And 8 years ago when SAU fired Julie Nemecek for coming out as trans and a petition was started against the SAME policies that exist today.. only now these discriminatory policies are enforced by twisting title IX exemption. SAU sought this exemption like cowards after being exposed for their treatment of Julie and petitions halted their efforts once and we can do it again!! This former petition had 500 signatures and was CLOSED making it impossible for anyone in the future to sign and speak out against SAU’s discriminatory policies.

and together we ARE strong and we WILL SURPASS this former petition we will speak up!! And unlike the former petition we will not close this petition until victory!!! Giving a place for people in the future to sign and speak up until this issue is amended!!
