🛑 Demand Justice for Two Children – Hold Aaron Przygoda Accountable

Why This Petition Matters

In January 2024, two young Missouri children courageously came forward to report that they were sexually abused by a man named Aaron Przygoda. Their disclosures were clear, credible, and supported by a forensic interviewer. Children’s Division substantiated the allegations, issuing a Preponderance of Evidence (POE) finding — placing Aaron Przygoda on the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) for the fourth time.

Despite overwhelming evidence, no charges have been filed. Law enforcement and prosecutors have failed these children at every step.

Aaron Przygoda — a convicted child endangerer with two active ex partes — remains free and active in his community, around children.

This petition calls on the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office, the DeSoto Police Department, and Missouri leadership to take immediate action.

⏰️  Timeline of Negligence

🔹 January 2024

• Two children disclose sexual abuse by Aaron Przygoda

• Children’s Division initiates forensic interviews — disclosures are detailed and credible

• DeSoto Police Detectives Eric Robinson and Brent Steger are present

 

🔹 February 2024

• Children’s Division finds Preponderance of Evidence (POE) and places Przygoda on the FCSR

• Detectives begin making excuses — stating "there are worse cases" and referencing unrelated past issues between the parents

• They cease contact with the Children’s Division investigator

 

🔹 March–April 2024

• Detectives claim they “can’t locate” Przygoda — despite him being on probation with known location

• He begins harassing the victims' family with explicit messages

• The children’s mother files for and receives Orders of Protection (one adult, one child)

 

🔹 May 2024

• Without notifying the family, DeSoto PD quietly sends the case to the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office

• Case remains “under review” with no movement

 

🔹 July 2024–Early 2025

• Other counties (e.g. Washington) offer to take the case — are ignored

• Prosecutor later claims they received no investigative follow-up from DeSoto PD

• Children’s Division and mother’s inquiries go unanswered

 

🔹 March 2025

• Sunshine Law requests to DeSoto are denied

• Attorney for the city dismisses complaints and refers to the children’s mother as "unprofessional"

• Evidence suggests DeSoto withheld or failed to forward documentation

 

🔹 April–May 2025

• DeSoto begins second round of interviews after public pressure

• Jefferson County Prosecutor confirms: still nothing received

 

🔹 July 2025

• Jefferson County declines charges with no written explanation

• Children are left without justice

🤔 Who Is Aaron Przygoda?

• On the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry four times
• Previously convicted of Endangering the Welfare of a Child
• Violated probation
• Found guilty July 1, 2025, of violating a protection order
• Has two active Orders of Protection against him (including a child protection order)
• Terminated from Hardee’s for sexually harassing teenage employees
• Currently affiliated with Open Heart Assembly Church in Farmington, MO — reportedly works in the nursery
• Allegedly employed at Penn Station Subs and Wallis Oil / On The Run

💔 The Ongoing Harm

• These children continue weekly trauma therapy
• One child has lost interest in previously loved activities
• Both express emotional distress and confusion
• They say things like: “Why did I even tell if no one does anything?”
• Advocacy Center staff believe they may never disclose again — even if re-victimized

🔸 A full independent review of the DeSoto Police Department’s handling of this case

🔸 Transparency from the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office regarding its decision

🔸 Mandatory accountability and disciplinary review for officers and prosecutors who ignored evidence

🔸 Legislative action to prevent known abusers from continuing to avoid prosecution
