Citizen is an app that is used in urban metropolitan cities and currently has over 9M users. From the statistics provided to us from them, the fastest growing rate of users are in Baltimore, Chicago, LA, NYC, and SF. Based on our research, we have concluded that the top 3 spoken Asian languages of these collective cities are Chinese, Tagalog, and Korean, respectively. For this reason, we are advocating for these languages -- first. We hope that once we have successfully added these onto the Citizen app, we can then continue to advocate for additional languages which will serve the remaining population. Our ultimate goal is to have this safety app be able to help all of us, regardless of what language you may understand.
