Call on UK and EU authorities to review entry of Carter Efe
The Issue
In a world where online interactions are rapidly becoming the norm, it is deeply disheartening and alarming when these platforms are misused to spread threats, intimidation and fear. This petition is brought forward with a heavy heart, in the hope of drawing attention to an increasingly disturbing situation that has affected members of the online community.
Recently, public attention has been drawn to a deeply concerning incident involving a well-known Nigerian online streamer, Carter Efe, also identified by his real name, Oderhohwo Joseph Efe. According to available recordings and reports, Carter Efe allegedly made a death threat against the mother of another individual, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VDM, stating that his mother would die within a week.
Even more disturbing, on 3 November 2026, Carter Efe allegedly made further threatening statements, reportedly repeating the threat that VDM’s mother would die and escalating his remarks by threatening to send thugs to sexually assault and rape Martins Vincent Otse’s mother.
These alleged statements go far beyond an ordinary online disagreement or exchange of insults. Threatening someone’s life and threatening sexual violence against an innocent woman is extremely serious matters that deserve urgent attention. No individual, regardless of their popularity, influence or public standing, should be allowed to use online platforms to intimidate others or threaten violence against their families without appropriate scrutiny and accountability.
The reported incidents raise serious concerns about public safety, online harassment and the potential consequences of allowing threats of this nature to go unaddressed. The safety and dignity of women and families must be protected and threats of rape and physical violence must never be dismissed as entertainment, online banter or publicity.
The online platform Twitch, where the initial threat reportedly occurred, has a responsibility to maintain a safe environment for its users and to take appropriate action where its community guidelines may have been violated. Equally, it is important that immigration authorities take credible allegations of threatening and violent behaviour seriously when assessing an individual’s eligibility to enter or remain in their territories.
OUR REQUEST TO UK AND EUROPEAN AUTHORITIES
By signing this petition, we respectfully call upon the relevant authorities in the United Kingdom and European countries to:
Conduct a thorough review of Carter Efe’s immigration and visa eligibility in light of the reported threats of death and sexual violence.
Assess whether his alleged conduct raises any relevant immigration or public safety concerns under applicable UK and European immigration laws and policies.
Where legally justified, consider appropriate visa restrictions, suspension or revocation, subject to investigation and applicable immigration laws.
We believe that credible threats against someone’s life and threats of rape against an innocent woman should be taken seriously, properly investigated and addressed through the appropriate authorities.
We must not wait until threats become real life tragedies before taking action. Public figures and online personalities have a responsibility to understand that their words carry consequences, particularly when those words involve threats of death, sexual assault and violence.
Let us come together as a community to stand against online intimidation, threats of violence and the targeting of innocent individual. We respectfully urge the relevant UK and European authorities to examine these allegations and take any action deemed appropriate under the law.
Sign this petition to support accountability, protect innocent woman and send a clear message that threats of murder and sexual violence have no place in our world.
Help us prevent a dangerous precedent from taking root – before it is too late.
