Call on the USDA to protect ALL farm animals!

The Issue

Every year, billions of animals suffer unimaginable cruelty at the hands of the factory farming industry.

But suffering is business as usual for this industry. For example, when it comes to animals too sick or injured to stand or walk, profits outweigh compassion.

Time and again, reports demonstrate that workers will do just about anything to get sick or injured calves, pigs, goats, and sheep to the slaughterhouse floor — shocking, kicking, beating, and even pushing them with forklifts. They know that in order to be used for human food, animals must be kept alive until they are slaughtered, so they get them to that kill line any way they can.

They’ll even prod a dying animal in the eyes or drag him by his tail or ear!

If that doesn’t work, they simply toss the helpless animal aside like garbage.

The USDA’s own records show that downed animals have been afflicted with gangrene, malignant lymphoma, pneumonia, and other serious illnesses. Shockingly, however, USDA explicitly allows diseased animals to be slaughtered for human food.

Downed animals should never be allowed to enter the human food supply.

But to the meat producers, it’s all about business and profits. That’s why they’ll go to extraordinary lengths to send sick and diseased animals to slaughter and onto unsuspecting families’ kitchen tables and children’s school lunch trays.

Please join us in speaking out for farm animals who suffer in silence. Voice your support for ending the abuse and cruel slaughter of all downed animals.
