We urgently call on the international community, human rights organizations, and medical associations to take immediate action and exert maximum pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran to release doctors, nurses, and medical staff who have been allegedly detained for providing medical care to injured individuals.

to credible reports, the following medical professionals are among those allegedly detained after fulfilling their ethical and humanitarian duty:

Dr. Alireza Golchin
Dr. Ameneh Soleimani

Dr. Farhad Nadali
Morid Moradian

These medical professionals acted in accordance with universal medical ethics and humanitarian principles.

Treating the wounded is not a crime. Criminalizing medical care is a serious violation of international law and the principle of medical neutrality.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Babak Hossein Zarabian played a vital role in saving the lives of thousands of patients. Doctors and nurses like these are invaluable to society and must be protected, not persecuted.

We respectfully request the international community to:

Take urgent action to pressure Iranian authorities

Demand the immediate and unconditional release of all allegedly detained medical professionals
Ensure transparency regarding their whereabouts and legal status
Protect doctors and nurses from harassment and persecution

Doctors and nurses save lives. They must not be punished for doing their duty.

درخواست از جامعه جهانی برای اعمال فشار جهت آزادی پزشکان و کادر درمان بازداشت‌شده در ایران

ما از جامعه جهانی، سازمان‌های بین‌المللی حقوق بشر و نهادهای پزشکی درخواست می‌کنیم که فوراً اقدام کرده و با اعمال فشار مؤثر، جمهوری اسلامی ایران را وادار به آزادی پزشکان، پرستاران و کادر درمانی نمایند که بنا بر گزارش‌های معتبر، به‌طور احتمالی بازداشت شده‌اند؛ صرفاً به دلیل انجام وظیفه انسانی و حرفه‌ای خود در درمان مجروحان.

بر اساس اطلاعات منتشرشده، افراد زیر از جمله پزشکان وکادر درمانی هستند که گفته می‌شود پس از ارائه خدمات پزشکی به مجروحان بازداشت شده‌اند:

این پزشکان و کادر درمان مطابق اصول جهانی اخلاق پزشکی و تعهد انسانی خود عمل کرده‌اند.

درمان مجروحان جرم نیست. جرم‌انگاری خدمات پزشکی نقض آشکار قوانین بین‌المللی حقوق بشر و اصل بی‌طرفی پزشکی است.

لازم به ذکر است که دکتر بابک حسین ضرابیان در دوران همه‌گیری بیماری کرونا نقش مؤثری در نجات جان هزاران بیمار ایفا کرده است. چنین پزشکانی سرمایه‌های انسانی کشور هستند و باید مورد حمایت قرار گیرند، نه مجازات.

ما با احترام از نهادهای بین‌المللی درخواست می‌کنیم که برای آزادی فوری و بدون قید و شرط تمامی کادر درمانی که به‌طور احتمالی بازداشت شده‌اند اقدام نمایند
خواستار اعلام شفاف محل نگهداری و وضعیت حقوقی آنان شوند
از ادامه هرگونه فشار، تهدید و برخورد با پزشکان و پرستاران جلوگیری کنند

پزشکان و پرستاران نجات‌دهنده جان انسان‌ها هستند و نباید به دلیل انجام وظیفه انسانی خود مورد تعقیب و مجازات قرار گیرند.
