Submit an objection now to stop huge rent increases which would push traders out of the market!

Your response could make a huge difference in protecting our market from gentrification. It takes less than 5 minutes to respond and you can do so using our template, which has all the details of how to respond: tinyurl.com/52u7h2v3

In the words of James Horada, chair of Shepherd's Bush Market Tenants Association from 2006 to 2022, 'this may be viewed as a scheme whereby the rich get richer, and the poor are discarded and moved on'.

Yoo Capital's plans would overload the market with an 8 storey office building and pressure traders into giving up their protected long term leases in favour of rental agreements with far worse terms and conditions. This would allow the landlord to hugely increase rents, service charge and other overhead costs to the point of being unaffordable to the vast majority of traders. These plans are a threat to the character and diversity of our market and must be challenged.

You can submit a response on the online portal: https://public-access.lbhf.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=RTQJEMBI0TR00

Alternatively, you can email your response to the planning officer Jesenka Oezdalga at jesenka.oezdalga@lbhf.gov.uk. Make sure to include the planning reference (2023/01093/FUL) and your full name and address.

Submit your response as an objection and include all the points in our template response if you agree with them. The more people that submit the same points the more likely the council is to listen.
