Yoo Capital have submitted their planning application. The plans would overload the market with an 8 storey office building and hugely increase rents for traders. If the plans go through, the market will be changed forever and the character of the market as an affordable market that serves local people would be lost.

It is crucial that as many people as possible submit an objection to the plans. This is very easy to do and takes less than 5 minutes. We have put together a document with a template and instructions on how to submit your objection: tinyurl.com/52u7h2v3

The deadline to respond is on the 30th June.

Please share this widely. The more people who submit objections the more likely the Council are to listen, and enforce strict planning obligations that protect the diversity and character of the market.

Alternatively, you can email your response to the planning officer Jesenka Oezdalga at jesenka.oezdalga@lbhf.gov.uk. Make sure to include the planning reference (2023/01093/FUL) and your full name and address.
