Call on President Donald J. Trump to Rededicate America to God for Our 250th Anniversary
The Issue
To: President Donald J. Trump, 47th President of the United States As we approach the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States of America in 2026, we the undersigned believe it is time for our nation to return to the spiritual foundation upon which it was built. On April 30, 1789, moments after taking the oath of office, President George Washington led members of Congress to St. Paul’s Chapel in New York City, where he knelt in prayer and dedicated this new republic to Almighty God. This was no symbolic gesture. It was a solemn covenant between America and her Creator. Since then, America has been a beacon of liberty to the world—but we have strayed far from our founding values. Today, our nation faces deep moral division, cultural confusion, and rising hostility toward people of faith. The senseless political assassination of courageous Christian leaders like Charlie Kirk, who stood boldly for truth, reminds us of the urgent need for moral and spiritual renewal. We believe the time has come to rededicate America to God, just as our Founders did. We are asking you, President Trump, to lead this rededication. Let the 250th Anniversary be remembered not only with parades and fireworks, but with national repentance, prayer, and a public recommitment to the Lord who endowed us with our rights. Let this be a turning point. Let America once again be “One Nation Under God,” united in faith, freedom, and purpose. We, the undersigned, stand with you in this call. We ask that you issue a formal declaration of rededication to Almighty God on behalf of the American people, and invite all Americans to join you in this historic and spiritual moment as you walk to St. Paul's Chapel to rededicate this country to God with your administration.
