The disrespectful conduct exhibited by US President Donald Trump towards President Zelensky of Ukraine is a matter of grave concern. Bullying a head of state actively seeking peace for his war-torn nation on a public platform is a form of behaviour that should have no place in our world. This unbelievable display where President Trump and his Vice President continuously attempted to silence Zelensky, left not only me but the world’s diplomats shocked. Trump is clearly siding with Russia's President Vladimir Putin, who has unlawfully invaded Ukraine, and through his behaviour, he seems to be coercing President Zelensky to give up in the face of such aggression. This reprehensible act is not commensurate with the values upheld in Great Britain. I feel that King Charles should reconsider the official invitation extended to President Trump, thereby sending a clear signal that our world thrives in solidarity and not aggression.
