Like many in our community, I've been an avid user of Twitch, a platform that originally brought many of us together in celebration of gaming and mutual interests. However, the current state, direction, and management of the platform have become an immense concern.

In recent times, Twitch has been embroiled in a myriad of controversies stemming from tolerating and even promoting extremist content, the likes of which is contrary to their own community guidelines. Such content not only promotes an environment of hatred and division but also poses an advertising nightmare to a platform seeking to grow and expand. A notable example is the streamer Hasan, who has allegedly encouraged violence and terrorism. Furthermore, an inconsistent banning policy, as seen in the permanent ban of Adin Ross(which yes, keep him banned Adin Ross is a deplorable individual, but Hasan Should also be banned as he is also), has created an uneven playing field and further harm to the platform's reputation. Ban all Extremist Content, Right, Left, all of it.

Asmongold got a 2-3 week ban, which is fair for a first time offense. As long as he doesn't do it again, he doesn't need a permaban. and Asmon, unlike Hasan & Adin Ross has not been an ongoing issue.

Twitch had banned sign ups from Israel for a time, which not every Jew in Israel agrees with every military decision, but they let Hasan Stream with a Terrorist Pirate (Houthi Pirate), and call him a "freedom fighter. "Not to Mention his outspoken support for Hezbollah.

Destiny has been in his share of controversy with anyone who disagrees with his political views as well. 

Most people on Twitch, whether they stream Gaming, music, IRL, Art, Crafts, Sports, Just Chatting are chill and just want to engage with their communities and vibe with people.

The current leadership, specifically CEO Dan Clancy, seems to be completely out of touch with the platform's original ethos and purpose. Efforts need to be intensified to ensure the platform is led by industry veterans who understand its potential and are able to make more balanced and knowledge-based decisions.

A change in leadership can also make way for much-needed improvements such as the integration of Amazon's ad targeting system, leading to a more efficient and less intrusive advertising experience. This will ultimately result in better content and a more pleasant user experience.

Therefore, we call for Twitch to implement stricter moderation against extremist content, ensure fairness in its banning policies, and consider a change in leadership to restore balance and fulfill its potential. Twitch is loosing part of their revenue, and advertisers are slowly leaving the platform, partially because of the lack of ad targeting, partially because of this nightmare of racial (racist), Political Junk measuring contest. Its an Advertising Dumpster Fire, that will cost Twitch money.
