Where as the United States of America was founded as a Christian nation for the purpose of free worship of the One True God, we are thereby a Christian Nation from our inception. As such we have a duty to protect Christendom at home and abroad. No other religion on Earth currently suffers as much persecution as Christianity in the United States of America and in other nations. Islamist extremists are calling for the speaking out against Islam to be outlawed in America, yet in Egypt Christians are being persecuted, murdered and tortured with impunity. Whereas our nation was founded by Christians with Christian values and Christian goals it is therefore our duty as a Christian nation to uphold, defend, and reinforce these ideals in America and everywhere where Christians dwell in persecution and adversity due to non Christian hostile action. To put into perspective the unilateral nature of the human rights violations taking place in Egypt picture this scenario: Suppose a group of so-called anti-Islamic 'christians' were to attack, defame, harass, slander, murder or otherwise molest Muslims on a large scale. The backlash would be volcanic not only in America but the world over. And yet conversely Christians are suffering torture and death at the hands of radical Islamists and nothing is being done.
Mr. President, I charge you to take action against this wanton act of religious persecution and human rights violations against which nothing is being done. We the undersigned hereby compel you to act in the following three ways to stop this senseless violence in order to uphold the sanctity of Human life and to set an example to other nations that America still abides by the values under which it was founded:

1. Publicly address the leader of the nation of Egypt, Mohammed Morsi, denouncing the behavior of his subjects and make it known to the world that America stands against this kind of Human Rights violation.

2. Forthwith and immediately, completely suspend all foreign aid to the nation of Egypt whilst these abominations continue to occur. We must not give the nation of Egypt, nor other nations in which these kinds of breaches of human dignity occur, the notion that we will award torturers and murders with monetary prizes.

3. Take direct action against these human rights violations, up to and including police action to stop these atrocities AS WELL AS attacks on our embassies overseas which constitute an act of war.

Whereas you Mr. President assisted this leader in ascending the rulership of Egypt, I and the undersigned here named along with me believe you have a modicum of responsibility in what he is allowing to continue in his country.

Sincerely,

Christopher Melvin and co petitioners
