MBRacres Marshall BioResources UK are a beagle breeding facility in Cambridgeshire, they are not a science research facility. They have the license to bleed out puppies on their premises and sell blood, plasma and organs when they are not a scientific facility. The practice can not be regulated on numbers of puppies bled out on site per annum. The donors are not allowed anesthesia and require breathing apparatus so the blood remains uncontaminated. This is a highly skilled procedure which should not take place within a breeding facility and not be used for a profit making opportunity.

If we do not change the regulations on how animals used in science operate then the numbers will consistently increase each year. The numbers of animals killed each year has increased each year in the UK, especially since leaving the EU. The home office have already come under attack for limited numbers of inspectors and inspections carried out each year, MBRacres are one of those facilities that have been left unmonitored. There has been constant Animal Rights Activists outside the gates of MBR and documenting their operations that fail to meet government guidelines. We want the bleeding license revoked as we feel the facility is not conducting, professional, ethical or documented accounts of puppies bled out on their site.
