Call for the immediate resignation of Mayor Amanda Findley Shoalhaven City Council

The issue

We the residents, visitors, ratepayers, and community members of Shoalhaven LGA are calling on the immediate resignation of Clr. Amanda Findley, Mayor of Shoalhaven City Council.

We have no confidence in the Mayor in her position due to:

1          Financial Stability of Shoalhaven City Council 2017- 2023, and minutes of SCC meeting Monday 20th November 2023. Link: Agenda of Extra Ordinary Meeting - Monday, 20 November 2023 (infocouncil.biz)

2          Failure of waste services / Bioelektra and future concerns of residents in the delivery of future waste services.

3          Failure to deliver plans and budgets for safe roads in the Shoalhaven.

4          Increase of Council rates, noting 4% rate peg in June 2023, now requesting a staged 44% increase commencing July 2024.

5          Failure in the duties of the office of Councillor & Mayor in the best interest of the people of Shoalhaven.  Refusal of transparency and answers, neglecting to answer the public.

6          Abuse of power to implement personal political party policies ignoring residents’ opinions.

7          Refusing basic democratic rights of the community to have their say through deputations at Council meetings and forums.
