Call for the Deportation of Accomplice to the Lukashenko Regime
Call for the Deportation of Accomplice to the Lukashenko Regime
The Issue
On behalf of the Belarusian-American diaspora and concerned citizens, we respectfully submit this petition to request the deportation of Belarusian national Mikalai Yarmolik (Nikolay Yarmolik), a resident of Miami, Florida. We believe that Mikalai Yarmolik’s presence in the United States poses a moral and ethical contradiction to the values upheld by our nation. His association with the oppressive Lukashenko regime in Belarus and documented involvement in human rights abuses make him an unfit candidate for residence in the U.S.
According to verified information, Mikalai Yarmolik, born 1956 in the Donbas region and currently residing in Miami, Florida, has a longstanding history as an active collaborator of the Lukashenko regime in Belarus. Mr. Yarmolik’s activities have directly contributed to the surveillance, repression, and suffering of thousands of Belarusian citizens. He previously held the position of Deputy General Director at Krasnoselskstroymaterialy, one of Belarus’s largest enterprises, and served as the manager of the Volkovysk football team “Cementnik,” which was funded by the same enterprise.
Evidence of Collaboration and Human Rights Abuses
Mikalai Yarmolik’s activities extend far beyond his formal job titles. A longtime KGB informant, Mikalai Yarmolik is responsible for setting up informant networks to monitor, frame, and blackmail Belarusian citizens, leading to the wrongful imprisonment of countless individuals for exercising fundamental
rights. His actions have caused immeasurable suffering and directly supported the dictatorial regime of Alexander Lukashenko.
Evidence confirms that Mikalai Yarmolik played a crucial role in establishing structures such as GPU “Grozolit” and GPU “Lariskor.” These organizations serve as fronts for intelligence and enforcement activities, deploying informants for surveillance tasks while masquerading as engineering and architectural institutions. Staff at these agencies are reportedly conscripted into state security work, performing investigative and surveillance activities for the regime.
The Belarusian-American diaspora firmly believes that Mr. Yarmolik’s presence in the U.S. is incompatible with the nation’s values of freedom, human rights, and justice. By allowing him to remain, we risk providing safe harbor to an individual complicit in widespread human rights violations under an authoritarian regime. We, therefore, request the immediate deportation of Nikolai Yarmolik to Belarus, where he can be held accountable for his actions within an appropriate legal framework.
We trust that the U.S. government will take the necessary actions to investigate Mikalai Yarmolik’s activities and presence in the United States. America should not become a refuge for those who support and sustain brutal regimes that violate human rights and oppress their citizens.
Sincerely
