As a proud Michigan State alumnus, I am deeply concerned by the continued instability and lack of effective leadership from the Michigan State University Board of Trustees. The recent departure of President Kevin Guskiewicz is the latest example of a troubling pattern that has damaged confidence in the university’s governance and future direction.

I am calling for the resignations of Rema Vassar, Dennis Denno, and Mike Balow. Michigan State deserves leadership that prioritizes transparency, accountability, stability, and the best interests of its students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters.

For too long, the Board has been associated with controversy, division, and leadership turnover rather than progress and unity. Our university should be focused on academic excellence, student success, athletic achievement, and restoring its national reputation—not navigating avoidable governance crises.

Michigan State University is one of the nation’s great institutions. It is time for new leadership on the Board of Trustees that can rebuild trust and move the university forward.
