As an Irish citizen who has been disgusted by the conflict between the Palestinians and Israeli’s (mostly on the part of the Israeli’s) I have been contemplating daily, trying to come up with a peaceful, legal proposal to make a change with regard’s to the Israel/Palestine situation.

It finally dawned on me this morning that home nations around the world, although they can’t control what Israel do with regards to their war crimes, they do however have power when it comes to their own citizens who hold dual passports with Israel.

We all know that as a person of the Jewish faith can hold an Israeli passport despite having never been to Israel, or being directly related to anyone who already is an Israeli citizen. A special circumstance that was allowed to them as a result of their persecution during WW2. This in turn allows for the creation of an ethnostate that allows settlers to come from all over the globe to move to Israel and get involved in the harassment, removal and sometimes even murder of the local Palestinian population. 

So the solution that I have come up with is this:
The dual passport holding Israeli citizens should be given the option by their alternate/host Nations to denounce either passport.

This in turn would prevent any politician with dual nationality with Isreal having a conflict of interest with their own government and the Israeli government with regards to these current events. Also it would mitigate the causality of the settler violence towards the Palestinian people and the colonialist agenda of the Israeli government.

Let it be known that this is a legal practice as a nation holds the right to revoke a persons passport in special circumstances and with this it would actually be down to the individuals preference making it ultimately their own decision.

I condemn violence from all sides and hope to see a peaceful resolution to this on going horror.
