Call for prosecution of animal abuse and abandonment in Saline Co. Illinois
Call for prosecution of animal abuse and abandonment in Saline Co. Illinois
The Issue

On July 30, 2023, 3 individuals were spotted dumping several carriers and crates full of cats and kittens on a rural road in Saline County Illinois. A good samaritan tried to intervene and filmed the trio during this heinous act.
One of the women, Rosie Crisp, had several excuses: she was poor, animal control or the police wouldn't remove the animals, etc. Jessica Grant Farmer was driving the car while the other 2 dumped out these poor little creatures,
So far, no arrests or prosecution of any kind has been made although these acts are illegal in Illinois. Sadly, a first offense is only a misdemeanor, but a second offense is a class 4 felony.
The state's attorney, Molly Wilson Kaiser, and Sherrif, James Whipper Johnson are in the position to start protecting helpless animals in Saline County. It would be a step forward in making a change for the better and perhaps starting a dialogue about the welfare of animals, TNR programs, Rescue support, etc.
There is NO EXCUSE whatsoever for the behavior and mentality of these 3 people. It is unbelievable that NOTHING has been done yet!
We'll post updates when we can. Please sign the petition, and also express your support of the arrest and prosecution of these 3 to Mrs. Kaiser and Sherrif Johnson.
