In December, we reported on the Dense Breasts study called BRAID recruiting patients attending screening in Cambridge, Cheltenham, Leeds and Manchester. The BRAID study has been reported to be operational in Scotland too (in the Glasgow area).
Women who attend a breast screening mammogram and who have dense breasts may be invited to participate in the study with the aim to find out if extra scans are helpful in diagnosing breast cancer in women with dense breasts.
If you are interested in taking part in the study and want to know more, talk to your breast screening centre about 'The BRAID study' in these areas.
Even if your local breast screening centre is NOT offering the BRAID study, when you attend, take with you the Dense Breast Patient Fact Sheet (below) and ASK ABOUT YOUR BREAST DENSITY!
