Throughout the summer, work continues to progress the UK breast density education effort. Here is a snap-shot of activity.

- The petition has gained great support recently - almost 3,000 signatures now; unfortunately, more stories from women diagnosed at later, more advanced stage due to cancers not being detected in dense breast tissue.

- Westminster - increased interest and involvement.

- Coming soon - #DenseBreastDay (#DBD) - DenseBreast-info.org in collaboration with Yale University - social media awareness day focussing on dense breast awareness - more info to follow.

- Awaiting UK screening review report - and hoping to see 'density' included (as a weakness of screening programme) - which would be a step forwards.

- Encouraging charities to review their public/patient leaflets. Watch this space - one charity agrees, there is a lack of awareness and looking to change leaflets to include breast density information.

- Organisation (to attend) several conferences (UK / Europe)

- Liaising with more universities to signpost students (imaging) to density education.
